Sub-letting Your Flat (London Only)
If you are within the areas served by our four Central London offices, we can find you a tenant for your flat. Wherever you are, we can collect the rent for you and "manage" the letting. This means sorting out any problems inside the flat (such as a boiler that stops working, a cupboard door that falls off), and we can give you access to your income & expenditure statement online.
If you are interested, then call Natalie at our Limehouse office on 020 7791 7011. Generally they charge a percentage to find a tenant, collect the rent and manage the letting, but they can email you the terms & conditions and discuss any points of detail with you.
You need to remember that you will need a gas safety certificate (if you have gas), an inventory, fire-retardent upholstery and curtains. If you do not own a share of the freehold, you may need to get landlord's approval to the sub-letting.
There is now a national deposit scheme, and we can assist you with the technicalities of this. We can also sell you rent guarantee insurance.
